Cycle like a pro!
Cycling is healthy. That is why we support our cycling students and staff with extensive facilities and services. We offer secure bicycle parking facilities, we distribute goodie packs to cyclists and we have joined forces with the bicycle repair workshop ‘Fietspunt’ at Triomflaan 40. A group of VUB bike commuters has set up a cycling working group to call for better cycling facilities in and around the campus.
Bicycle parking facilities
Here you will find the largest bicycle parking facility. (?) You can also leave your bike in the open-air bike storage areas across the campus.
Are you a student or staff member? Then you can use the lock-up bicycle parking facilities. You will find them underground in garage B, opposite the swimming pool in building K and in the Braem Building and building G (the latter are for staff only).
Flat tyre?
You can borrow a bicycle pump and pump up your flat tyre on the spot:
- at the reception of the Info Point (building D)
- at the security department (24/7, at entrance 6)
- at the swimming pool counter (building L)
Minor repairs
Repair your bike with repair equipment and materials available at the bicycle pillars:
- in front of the Info Point at building D
- at building K
Major repairs
With some help from the bicycle mechanic you can repair your bike yourself:
Has your bicycle been stolen?
Report it to the security department via Police-on-web.
