We take complaints seriously
VUB aims to create a safe environment with a clear and accessible network of reporting helplines where everyone can voice their concerns or complaints. At our university, we take complaints seriously and provide transparent support for our staff and students.
The Report It Helpline
Verbal or physical violence, bullying, unwanted sexual behaviour, discrimination... There is no place for transgressive behaviour at VUB. Have you encountered such behaviour? You can reach out to the Report It Helpline for transgressive behaviour. This helpline works closely with confidential advisors and offers tailored advice and support.
Helpline for scientific integrity
As an academic, you can report breaches of scientific integrity through the Legal and Ethics Office. The Committee for Scientific Integrity will handle your report and provide advice on the matter.
Are you experiencing intimidation as an academic?
Do you feel intimidated as a researcher by colleagues, supervisors, or external parties? This type of inappropriate behaviour is also not tolerated at VUB. If you do encounter it, there are various departments and individuals you can turn to for support.
Whistleblowing Helpline
You can contact the Whistleblowing Helpline if you wish to report potential breaches at VUB. Anyone who works or has worked for VUB can make a report. The helpline treats all reports confidentially. Whistleblowers are protected when they report potential breaches that fall within the scope of the Whistleblowing Decree.
