Cities are becoming the predominant form of human settlement and the scale at which many of the most pressing societal issues are engaged. Understanding cities requires an interdisciplinary approach that recognizes the complexity of urban agglomerations. Changing cities involves the mobilization of various kinds of knowledge and expertise, both academic and non-academic. Our programme trains students in becoming interdisciplinary urban researchers and practitioners that can work across professional divides.

Currently, the only available study plan is the "Default track: VUB-ULB'.
The study plans '4cities: Classical track' and '4cities: research and practice track' are not offered in academic year 2024-2025.
