What is the difference with the Dutch master's programme?
The biggest difference between the Journalism and Media in Europe master's and our Dutch-speaking master's programme in Communicatiewetenschappen is that this master's is taught in English and has a highly international student body. It is also much more focused on journalism and the political dimensions of media and communication.
What is the difference with the master's in Digital Media in Europe?
Compared to the Digital Media in Europe master's programme, the Journalism and Media in Europe master's is more focused on journalism and the political dimensions of media and communication. If your interest lies in technology and business models, the Digital Media in Europe programme is likely to suit you better.

Combining your studies with a job
The Master in Communication Studies: Journalism & Media in Europe is a daytime-only programme. Therefore, there is no option to combine this study with a full-time job.

Although there are no exchange options, there is plenty of ‘internationalisation’ in the programme itself via the international student body.
