SAVE THE DATE | The Vrije Universiteit Brussel invites you to the first edition of MolenFest.
During MolenFest, artists, cultural houses, associations, young people and residents will show why Molenbeek and Brussels should become the inclusive and super-diverse cultural capital of Europe in 2030. From the municipal square, through Manchester Street, over Ninoofsepoort Park and the canal to the Maritime neighbourhood. MolenFest is a foretaste of what this other, young and creative side of the canal has to offer Brussels and Europe.
MolenFest is an initiative by Molenbeek for Brussels 2030, the House of Cultures and Social Cohesion, KANAL and dozens of Molenbeek and Brussels partners, including Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Making Molenbeek and Brussels the cultural capital of Europe by 2030: that's what we want to do. We want Brussels to become a capital for all Europeans: a laboratory for intercultural and multilingual coexistence, but also for the ecological, democratic, social and decolonial revolutions that await us. We want to transform Brussels, with artists, thinkers and culture. We start locally with a future vision for Molenbeek, which will crystallise to the whole Brussels region.
