Chair UNESCO - Cultural Heritage

In 2014, the VUB established the UNESCO Chair on Critical Heritage Studies and Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The aim of the chair is to promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation of safeguarding the intangible cultural-heritage. It facilitates collaboration between high-level, internationally-recognized researchers and teaching staff of the VUB and other institutions in Belgium, as well as elsewhere in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and in other regions of the world.
