Administration and enrolment

Administration complete?
Register for exams?

Most faculties require you to register for oral exams. This can also be the case for written exams, if the exam takes place at multiple locations or times.

In case you need to register, this will be mentioned in your exam schedule.

Overlap in your exam schedule

When multiple exams are schedules on the same day and at the same time, there is an overlap in your exam schedule. Always give priority to:

  • mandatory courses instead of elective courses
  • courses that come first in your model trajectory

*An exam in the morning and in the afternoon on the same day, are not considered overlapping.
Check your faculty's additions to the exam regulations

Ask to move an exam due to overlap

You can inquire to see if it's possible to move an exam because of an overlap in your exam schedule. But keep in mind this isn't always possible.

If you want to request to move an exam due to illness, work or a death in your family, there's a different procedure to be followed:
Force majeure procedure

Notify your faculty about the force majeure

within 3 calendar days of the announcement of your exam schedule (OER, Art 106, Β§2). Your faculty may have a later deadline to do so. Check below if this is the case and exactly how to report overlap to your faculty.

The faculty will look for a solution if possible. You will be informed about a potential new exam time. Keep in mind this will not always be possible!

If the exam requires registration, you must do so even in case of an overlap.

Engineering

The public nature of the written preliminary and other examinations is guaranteed by allowing students to inspect the examination papers after each examination period within the first five days following the announcement of the results. In the context of pedagogically sound supervision, the student can request a clarification within the period of five calendar days after the announcement of the results. When a student wishes to inspect or receive feedback about a written examination he or she must do so by submitting a request to the lecturer of the relevant course within the specified period. Subsequently the lecturer informs the student on the time and place of the inspection and the person who will provide the feedback or access to the examination papers (this can be the lecturer or a designated person). Unlike an inspection, feedback can also be provided outside of the period of five days following the announcement of the results.

Feedback or inspection of the examination papers is not granted to third parties.

Physical Education and Physiotherapy

Each exam period, there is a faculty inspection day on which you can inspect your exams. The dates are:

January exams: 13 February 2023 (Etterbeek) and 14 February 2023 (Jette) between 18:00 and 20:00

June exams: 10 July 2023 (morning Etterbeek, afternoon Jette)
