Spaces of empathy and inclusion are shrinking, demanding vigilance to protect. How do we navigate this uncertain, in-between phase of existence?
ASAP Pilar: The Liminal Edition invites reflection on liminality—on not knowing, simply being, and embracing transitions. Imagine discovering a cookie tin from your grandmother’s home, now empty, bathed in light. What feelings emerge in this moment of change? Liminality is both a physical and mental state—familiar yet strange, melancholic yet transformative. It’s a space where change becomes possible.
This year, artists like Elena Colombi (live), Callahan & Witscher, Gyeongsu, Sans Age upsammy & Valentina Magaletti, CEM, Lamina and Pippin bring this theme to life. Medusa Offspace curates the expo ‘Are We Nearly There Yet?, & plays with themes of desire, transition, and critique of modern systems. With performances, films, and a community dinner, we explore liminality and collective connection. Want to join the waiting room?
ABOUT PILAR ASAP
PILAR ASAP is a boundry-pushing festival with a narrative programme. Attuned to the pulse of society, we merge different artistic and scientific disciplines. At PILAR ASAP you can experience a challenging, varied offer: from exhibition, debate and workshops to concert evenings. Central to it is the work of (young) artists that we think you should discover as soon as possible. For a month they will be part of our Art Science Association Platform. (ASAP)
