Alcohol-Free Cantus
The initiative for this alcohol-free cantus comes from VUB’s substance abuse policy. With this, we want to convince students that it’s also fun to party without alcohol. We hope to set a positive example and encourage students and staff to enjoy this occasion in a healthy way. We also hope to inspire those who have never participated in a cantus before to join in. Everyone is welcome!
World Record
We’re hoping for more than 270 participants to break the world record! Easy, right? A bailiff will be there to officially record the event, making this not just a party, but also a historic milestone for our university! Our rector, Jan Danckaert, will of course be present to open the cantus.
Farewell to the Tent
Finally, the cantus will also be the last event ever in the iconic white tent of VUB, which has been a symbol of vibrant student life at our university for 22 years. Many TDs, parties, and other memorable moments have been organized here. We’re now saying goodbye to it, but the memories will remain forever in our hearts.
