Catherine Woollard
Catherine Woollard has been director of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles since 2016. She has been a university lecturer, civil servant and consultant advising governments, international organisations and NGOs on governance, human rights and conflict management. She holds a degree in philosophy, politics and economics.
She has a great interest in expanding her academic engagement and visibility and has begun to develop closer ties with the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG). She envisages three-yearly joint assessments of research funding calls with the BSoG Centre on Migration, Diversity and Justice and will be involved in teaching the Vesalius College bachelor course Law 304: Legal Aspects of Migration.
