In collaboration with multiple governmental and academic research institutions, our team conducted a case study at the Mahatma Gandhi neighbourhood, located in the city Mechelen. This case study has shown that dynamic construction can bring important environmental advantages, compared to conventional solutions that are used in construction practice. The report illustrates how a dynamic design vision can be used for social housing at the element, building and district level. Examples of dynamic solutions were evaluated and compared through life cycle environmental impact and financial cost analyses. Additionally, design recommendations for a successful integration of dynamic solutions in current social housing were given.

The report, in Dutch, can be consulted via the project webpage of the Public Waste Agency of Flanders OVAM.
